This work explores the outcomes of the current housing crisis in  London.  It focuses on the renovation of a houseboat as an alternative means of living in London. The participant renovated the boat on minimal funds, in order to be able to pursue his career without the added pressure of London rent.  Alternative living solutions are becoming paramount for a majority of young people in London as the possibilities of home ownership and rent decrease due to unrealistic pricing. This is a study of that build and the local community surrounding canal life.
